GS POETRY is official!

Whats up,
Todays song of the day: "Lady" By Mista
"Mista" was the group that Bobby Valentino was part of during his adolescent days. The song is mad old-skool (as myself) and is just cool to listen to, chill out and relax....I'll put the song somewhere on my post lol....but as usual, I digress...
I was inspired by the sis Dizzy's recently posted poem (Great job again by the way) and it made me want to go into my archive of poems i have saved up on Ghetto Soul Poetry.com (now known as gspoetry.com) I've belonged to the site for years now and have an archive of poems. Some of them are sad, some of them are full of anger (okay people i wrote them in highschool, wasn't everyone feeling like this lol) But yeah one of my favorite ones is called "Fly Away" and I'mma post it on here for my blog familia lol....Hope you enjoy!

Fly Away

I used to think I was an Angel
In the sense that I helped the helpless
and bless the blessed-less with actions of
kind deeds with the proper needs
But now I've realized that i'm not
the spiritual guardian I thought i was.
Angels don't get talked down upon
Angels aid those that need to be aided
and the aided usually are grateful
The angels aren't hateful,hated, nor talked down upon
Atleast that's not what I think,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

What if Angels get verbally,mentally, or physically abused
everyday just because they were trying to help?
Aiding the unaided and attending the unattended
Could they just fly away?
At their dismay with feathers of a soft glory
and The wing span of unimaginable width?
Would they do it to get away from what they
believe is their duty?
With so much power behind their title
Can they ignore the great one and the bible?
and just go.............
wherever the wind would blow
their feathers of a soft glory?
Attached to wings with a wing span of unimaginable width?

An Angels Duty is an Angels duty!
But I have no contract bound to my cooperativeness
I am able to stop whenever I want
I could put my nature to adhere on a bolt lock.
Not easily tampered with.
Or I can choose to Fly away
With my tears being my feathers of a soft glory.
And my independance being my wings
with the wing span of unimaginable width?
Would I be able to ignore my duty
and fly away?
